The Michigan Economic Development Corporation helped convince Toyota that Michigan is the perfect place to expand its engineering development center, largely because of the state’s rich automotive heritage, innovation and expertise. Toyota’s $150 million, 700 acre Technical Center, located in Ann Arbor, is the driving force behind Toyota’s North American Engineering and Research and Development activities. Michigan’s strategic location provided Toyota with a competitive advantage and a promising future.
